Energy Efficiency Incentives for Small Businesses
Appalachian Power's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Program provides incentives to help small businesses reduce the upfront cost of energy-saving improvements to their facilities. Incentives ranging from $0.04 to $0.12 per kWh saved are available for interior and exterior lighting, HVAC systems, food service equipment and more.
Light your business for less
Since lighting typically accounts for 20 to 50 percent of the energy consumed by businesses, lighting efficiency upgrades can have a big impact on your annual energy costs. The C&I Program provides incentives and technical support that will help you leverage efficient lighting technology to reduce your energy bill now and for years to come.
Reduce HVAC system costs
The C&I Program provides incentives that will help you cost-effectively install HVAC controls or upgrades to a higher-efficiency model, decreasing maintenance and costs and increasing energy savings.
Optimize small appliances for big energy savings
The energy needed to run refrigerators, freezers and other small appliances can really add up. The C&I Program can help your business replace standard appliances with models that are more efficient.
How will I benefit from an upgrade?
- Reduce upfront costs: Incentives of up to $0.12 per kWh help with upfront costs of purchasing and installing energy efficient equipment.
- Lower your bill: According to mge.com, lighting, heating and cooling represent nearly 70 percent of total energy use in a typical small office building, which shows an opportunity for huge energy savings.
- Increased comfort: Upgrading your HVAC and lighting equipment can improve comfort and visibility in your facility.
